WOODY SHOOTS

an interiors shoot for Spirit of Wood and something completely different, a reportage shoot for Brodies Timber at their workshop.

Since opening in 2000 Spirit of Wood has become one of Scotland’s leading suppliers of high quality furniture and soft furnishings.
We were asked to do the styling, photography and design for their new brochure.

"We are absolutely delighted with our new Spirit of Wood brochures. The photography is stunning and the overall design of the brochure is even better than we expected. From start to finish Julie and Jose gave us an extremely professional & helpful service and we will be calling on them again for future designs."

Brodies Timber

At Brodies Timber, apart from the product, location and portrait shots we did, we were also inspired by the beautiful shapes of the woodshavings in their workshop- see micro shot opposite. Newly opened Brodies Timber are specialists in wood, offer a bespoke cut to size service and are regularly doing in store country craft events.

“Julie and Jose undoubtedly made the launch of our business a smoother journey - through designing the logo and website, handling our marketing campaigns and being on hand for advice and support. They have always had an answer to our questions and have listened and understood our vision, interpreting it into a visual style we are delighted with.
With our intention to take our shop online in 2013, we have complete confidence and trust in Thebe Mor to help us make this the next successful stage of our business.”

COMBINING CONTEMPORARY DESIGN WITH TRADITION

the new image for J & H Mitchell Solicitors and Estate Agents

J&H Mitchell web

We endeavoured to maintain the essence of this long esablished firm, one of Scotland’s oldest, dating back to 1836, whilst bringing it seamlessly into the 21st century. As well as updating their branding we worked on two integrated websites- one main site covering their legal services and the other, a fully customised estate agency site with all the required functionality.

“We have really enjoyed working with Julie and Jose at Thebe Mor, and have found their approach both clear and refreshing. As a result, having had a website which had served us well for 15 years but was becoming increasingly quirky and out-dated, we now have a website which gives a very clear reflection of who we are and what we do, of which we are proud and about which we receive many positive comments on a regular basis. Thank you Thebe Mor.”

ON LOCATION AT ARDANAISEIG

We were looking for somewhere romantic, individual, somewhere that said refined, quality Scotland and we found Ardanaiseig on the west coast.

breanish at loch awe

It provided the perfect backdrop for shooting Breanish Tweed's luxurious, unique, cashmere scarves and stoles. We were given the task of producing beautiful images to convey the whole ethos of the brand itself as well as showing the products.
This is what our client, Iain F Macleod, managing director of Breanish Tweed had to say:

"We worked with Thebe Mor to develop our branding and marketing materials, and they consistently delivered very high quality work - an amazing attention to detail, great creative ideas and experience working at the highest level internationally are all reflected in what they produce.
Thebe Mor provided a comprehensive service to us for the photoshoot - location and models, dressing the set and producing magazine quality photographs which have been used in a number of high end magazines and broadsheets. The fact that we could work on all the aspects of our branding with Thebe Mor meant that it had a cohesiveness which would be difficult to find elsewhere - shooting images, web design and marketing materials - They work extremely hard to not just deliver, but to exceed the customer's expectations, and their contribution has delivered concrete results for our bottom line."

WHAT DOES YOUR IMAGERY SAY ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?

Never underestimate the power of good, quality photography. Trends indicate people are reading less, therefore we have to say even more with our imagery.

after tiffin

We live in a society essentially visual, where thousands of images compete every day for our attention. We are not aware that just a few succeed, as most of images are filtered and rejected by our subconscious.
So, which ones succeed? Those which are different, that stand out from the crowd, say something meaningful to us, and those which we are personally drawn to.

From a business point of view, choosing the right imagery is essential, as the impact on the consumer is immediate and potentially lasting. It can determine for example, whether or not the viewer will bounce straight back out of your website or go on to read your message, or whether he or she will feel attracted or indifferent to the products or services you offer.

Judgements form quickly about a company or business when an image is absorbed. It will be that image the one which is more likely (or not) to stay in someone’s mind linked to that business. Your business will be remembered or forgotten, appreciated or dismissed, depending on the imagery that people associate with it.

Does your chosen imagery reflect your core offering, company ethos? Does it speak to your targeted audience? Does it convey your business quality standards, the nature and personality of the products or service you offer, that particular characteristic which makes you different from all your competitors?
If your images don't look professional and distinctive, neither will your business.

COFFEE ROASTING IN GLEN LYON?

We were intrigued when we were approached to do the branding and web for this artisan roastery.

Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters web

The brief was equally intriguing: To create a brand and website that combined artisan coffee with the look and feel of both west coast America and the Scottish Highlands. This was something different and required a unique, bespoke design to convey the distinctive, artisan feel of the product. Fiona Grant (owner) said:

"Their brief was a tough one. Julie and Jose took the concept and ran with it, coming up with a brand and website that is far better than we could ever have imagined. We are delighted with our new online presence and are already getting a lot of positive feedback and increased sales. Julie and Jose were very professional and efficient from the outset. Having had a good look around we are convinced that we now have the best artisan coffee roasters website in the whole of the UK!"

Jose, (designer and photographer at Thebe Mor) has been on the look out for his ideal coffee ever since he moved to Scotland from Madrid. He has finally found the punch and taste he craves in Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters Rwandan coffee!

NEW E COMMERCE SITE FOR ESCAPE ROUTE LIVE!

We had fun with this one, we were asked to design and develop a new site with e commerce feature, for the bike and outdoor specialist Escape Route.

Escape Route web

They wanted their new site to encapsulate all that they have to offer in their store, project the customer service in which they are renowned for, as well as somehow integrate their also renowned personalities. Take a look at what we came up with at www.escape-route.co.uk. Here's what Kevin Grant, director at Escape Route had to say:

"When Escape Route needed to renew its outdated website Jose and Julie at Thebe Mor brought a level of professionalism and understanding we needed. From conceptual ideas to the end product, resulted in the production of a website we are truly proud of. At ER we are now more confident with our online presence than ever, due to Julie and Jose's expertise and their incredible web and design work. Escape route has seen a significant increase in it's online sales from customers throughout the UK. We now work closely with them throughout the year. Highly recommended."
